Shawn Barron was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and went to Seton Hall University. During his last semester at Seton Hall, Barron interned at Universal Records in the fields of New Media and A&R, and was then hired by Koch Entertainment.  Upon leaving Koch, Barron decided to create something that was his own. Barron and fellow Koch employee, Daniel Montes, had an initial meeting with another industry friend, Success Davis, and after a few weeks, Barron came back to the table with artist Phreshy Duzit. The four men created Self Made Celebrity Entertainment and went on to secure a record deal with Atlantic Records for Phreshy Duzit. Barron’s hard work paid off as he was offered an A&R position from the President and EVP of Atlantic Records. Since starting his work with Atlantic Records, Barron has found placements on albums for Trey Songz, Flo Rida, Diggy Simmons and many others.
