Mike Molinar

Over the past thirteen years, Mike Molinar played a major role in the growth and success of several of Nashville’s leading independent music publishers. As the Creative Director for Cal IV Entertainment from 2000 to 2007, Molinar played a vital role in the placement of copyrights on over 45 million albums. Molinar also signed and/or managed the careers of Odie Blackmon (“She’ll Leave You with a Smile”), Dave Berg (“Stupid Boy”), and Jim Collins, all who were named to Billboard Magazine’s Top Ten Songwriters list under his management. Additionally, Berg was named 2008 ASCAP Songwriter of the Year and Nashville Songwriter Association International Songwriter of the Year in 2007. While at Cal IV, Molinar also spearheaded the acquisition of Jim Collins’s Makeshift Music catalog which included “The Good Stuff” (Billboard Song of the Year) and “I Don’t Feel Like Lovin’ You Today” (2006 Grammy Nominee for Country Song of the Year), as well as the Glenn Nikki catalog which featured Reba’s #1 song “Forever Love.” Previously, Molinar began his career with Reba McEntire’s Starstruck Writers Group where he represented David Malloy (BMI Writer of the Century), Liz Hengber, Wynn Varble, Dave Berg, Jim Collins and the catalog of recent Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, Mark D. Sanders. Molinar is a member of the CMA, ACM and NARAS.
