Mark Watters

 Mark Watters is a six time Emmy Award winning composer and conductor whose diverse composing credits include Doug's First Movie, Kronk’s New Groove, Mickey’s Twice Upon A Christmas, The Return Of Jafar and Aladdin and the King of Thieves for Disney, The Pebble And The Penguin and All Dogs Go To Heaven 2 for MGM as well as numerous television movies, DVD’s and over 300 episodes of television including The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Tiny Toon Adventures, The New Pink Panther, All Dogs Go To Heaven, 101 Dalmatians, Winnie the Pooh and NBC’s A Very Muppet Christmas. In 1996, Mark served as Music Director for the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta for which he received an Emmy award and an Emmy nomination for the song 'Faster, Higher, Stronger.” He returned for the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Winter Games and again he was awarded the Emmy Award for Outstanding Musical Direction. Recent credits include an original score for Pixar’s Time Travel Mater and serving as music director for Disney’s Have A Laugh. He is currently scoring the video game, Disney Princesses 2 and serving as principle arranger for Pixar In Concert. Mr. Watters has guest conducted for top symphonies and philharmonics. In 2009 he conducted a nation-wide tour of the highly successful Star Wars In Concert. He has performed with such artists as Trisha Yearwood, Sting, Yo Yo Ma, Leonard Bernstein, Faith Hill, Beyonce, Carrie Underwood, Usher, Fergie, Tony Bennett, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Enya, Mel Torme, Barry Manilow, and Art Garfunkle. In 2002 he co-conducted the 74th Academy Awards with John Williams. He’s a former president of the Society of Composers and Lyricists and has served three terms as Music Governor on the Board of Governors of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
