Originally from Portland, OR, Dave Berg has found success in Nashville as a diverse, multi-genre hit songwriter. Berg’s many honors include being named ASCAP's Country Songwriter of the Year in 2008, Billboard Country Songwriter of the Year in 2007, and Berg's song “If You’re Goin’ Through Hell” was named Billboard’s 2007 Song of the Year. Berg has received nominations for CMA and ACM Song of the Year for his #1 hit “Stupid Boy," which also won a Grammy for Keith Urban in 2007. The Country Music Association presented Berg with the prestigious Triple Play Award for his run of #1 songs, which included Reba McEntire's “Somebody”, Emerson Drive's “Moments” and Rodney Atkins'  “These Are My People”, among many other Top 10 hits. Berg’s songs can be found on upcoming 2012 releases by Carrie Underwood and Kenny Chesney, and he continues to write with a diverse range of artists from Jewel and Matt Kearney to Darius Rucker and Lady Antebellum. Berg recently released his third independent pop/rock album, Not Quite So Alone, and he is currently published by Downtown Music Publishing and managed by Effusion Entertainment in Nashville.
